The NASA project “Our Star the Sun Center for Educational Excellence” invites STEM teachers (5-12) to participate in a 3.5 days retreat experience designed to introduce the fundamental concepts of remote sensing and applications to bring the real world into the classroom.
The workshop will be held from June 13 to 17, 2010 at La Parguera, Lajas, Puerto Rico. Through interactive activities, exciting field trips, seminars, and exchanges with NASA and local experts teachers will explore the powerful tool of satellite imagery as a resource for learning and discovery. This workshop will connect educators and experts in different fields in the venture to achieve educational excellence. A 30 contact hours certificate will be issued to participants. Space is limited to 18 participants.
The application deadline for the 2010 NASA's OSSCEE Workshop is May 7, 2010.
